Tina P. Tsai, O.D.
Dr. Tina Tsai has been involved in the eyecare profession since 1993. She received her Doctorate in Optometry with Honors from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry in 1999. She enjoyed considerable success as the president of Dr. Tina Tsai Optometry in San Leandro, California prior to arriving in Portland.
She is, first and foremost, a warm and caring optometrist who is driven by the desire to find the best way to correct vision problems for her patients. She is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa National Optometric Honor Society and American Academy of Orthokeratology.
Dr. Tsai and her husband Jay have two sons, Ryan and Joshua. The family enjoys traveling and taking road trips in the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Tsai is also an avid runner and usually runs various half marathons each year. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese as well as English.

Lindy Thomas, O.D.
Dr. Lindy Thomas was born in Oregon and raised in Alaska. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1998. After graduation she practiced for ten years in Las Vegas, Nevada before she relocated back to Oregon recently.
Dr. Thomas enjoys working with patients to help them obtain their best vision and ocular health possible. She is proficient in full scope primary care optometry, contact lenses, pediatric optometry, treatment of ocular disease, and the co-management of Lasik and cataract surgery. Dr. Thomas is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Oregon Optometric Physician Association, the Nevada Optometric Association, and the Alberta Association of Optometrists.
She enjoys hiking and fishing (but also getting spa treatments). Dr. Thomas loves to travel, knit and spend time with her husband and daughter.

Shu-Chu Wu, Optician
Shu-Chu was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and raised in the Bay Area. She attended San Francisco State University and received a B.A. in Anthropology and a minor in Criminal Justice in 2003. She has been with The Eye Studio since 2007. She has held several positions in the eye care industry, and is certified with the American Board of Opticianry.
Shu-Chu enjoys being able to provide patients with the newest styles and products available in eyewear. Her favorite part of her job is working one-on-one with the patients, and helping them not only see better; but also have a better self-image when they leave the office.

Darrin James, Optician
Darrin has been involved in optics for 13 years and has been a Certified Optician since the late 1990's. His extensive knowledge of frame styles and lenses will benefit any patient, especially those who have difficulty deciding on frame styles and lens options. Darrin's friendly and helpful demeanor make him a natural at assisting patients.
Darrin has lived in Portland collectively for almost twenty years. He enjoys traveling and hopes he will be able to travel more in the future. He spends much of his free time reading graphic novels and is a bit of a film nerd. Darrin appreciates art, culture and music.

David Fuller, Optician
David was born in Ashland, OR and grew up in the Portland area. He attended George Fox University, graduating with honors in philosophy with a minor in music. He has been an optician for three years, before that working in information technologies. After living in Eugene for a few years, David and his wife Sarah moved back to Portland to raise their newborn daughter, Maya.
David is very interested in the technical aspects of eye care. He likes to see people learn about their eyes and endeavors to make it a fun experience. In his free time he enjoys playing accordion, guitar and percussion in several bands and recording them in his home studio.

Melissa Kalazan, Patient Care Coordinator
Melissa has been involved in the eye care profession for two years. Melissa specializes in patient care and is committed to providing each customer and patient with the best service and experience possible. She can also help answer any insurance questions you may have.
Melissa has lived in Portland for six years and loves the city. She moved here in 2004 to attend Portland State University where she obtained a B.A. in Art History. She then went on to study art education at Lewis and Clark College where she obtained a Master's Degree in 2008. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, snowboarding, hiking and camping, travel, art and art history, painting and drawing.
